Doris Vera Christina Lahdenpera, 86, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local 
care center on July 30, 1995.

She was born April 17, 1909 in Rockland, Mich. to John and Anna (Swanson) 
Olson.

She grew up and graduated from high school in 1927 in Kellogg, Idaho.  She 
married T. D. O’Neill of Kellogg in 1929 and he died in 1939.

She attended business college in Seattle and worked there for 10 years.

She married Leo Lahdenpera in Olympia, Wash. on Oct. 10, 1952 and they lived 
in Quincy, Wash., until moving to The Dalles in 1962.  He died on April 17, 
1978.

She was a member of Gateway Presbyterian Church, N.A.R.F., AARP and Neighbors 
of Woodcraft.

Survivors include her brothers-in-law, Albert and Ano Lahdenpera, several 
nieces and nephews, including Sally Fredericks; and special friends, Lucille 
Torgenson and Dorothy Suomela.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Gateway Presbyterian Church Fund, sent in care of 
Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home.
