The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 27, 1983
     Mabel Bernice Kumm, 76, a resident of Bremerton, Wash. and formerly a 
resident of Arlington, died Tuesday at a Portland hospital.
     She was born Nov. 14, 1908 in Winneton, Neb.
     Mrs. Kumm was employed by the Gilliam County School district for 27 years.
     Survivors include four sons, Ray, Eugene; Wayne, Miamisburgh, Ohio; Jim, 
Salem and Don, The Dalles; two daughters, Jean Beals, Bremerton and Donna 
McClaskey, Portland; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Her 
husband, Emil, died in 1975.
     Funeral services will be at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home at 11 
a.m. Friday with Pastor Delmer Anderson officiating.  Burial will be at The 
Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
     Memorials are suggested to the Oregon Heart Fund.
