The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 18, 1988
Elsie Lee Knox, 94, a resident of Wasco County since 1921, died March 14 in a 
local nursing home.

She was born April 9, 1893, in Surgoinsville, Tenn.  She was a member of the 
Church of the Nazarene in The Dalles.

She is survived by a son, Glenn E. Knox of Des Moines, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. 
Esther Magill of Wamic; three grandchildren, John Magill of Wamic, Gary Knox 
and Beverly Knox Olson both of Bakersville, Calif.; 10 great-grandchildren and 
11 great-great grandchildren; two half brothers.

Funeral services will be at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home on Saturday 
at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Byron Clark officiating.  Burial will follow at The 
Dalles IOOF Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Nazarene Church Memorial 
Fund.
