The Dalles Weeky Reminder, August 7, 1987
Ralph George Kniesteadt, 77, died Aug. 2 in Oregon City.  He was a resident of 
Oregon City, formerly a longtime resident of The Dalles.

Mr. Kniesteadt was born in Esbon, Kan., on May 26, 1910.  He was a member of 
the First Christian Church.

He is survived by a son, Jake Kniesteadt of Salem; two daughters, Elaine 
Gentry of Oregon City and Martha Klassen of Anchorage; six grandchildren, 
including Katie and Jennie Kniesteadt and Danna Goss, all of The Dalles; two 
brothers, Carl Kniesteadt of The Dalles and Walter Kniesteadt of Michigan; a 
sister, Edna Scott of Kansas.

Graveside funeral services were held at The Dalles Odd Fellows Cemetery.  
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.  Spencer, Libby and 
Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
