Kathryn Ann “Kit” Kirk, 43, a resident of Eugene, died suddenly on July 22, 
1995.  

She was born June 18, 1952 to Melvin and Kathryn Olmstead in The Dalles.  She 
married Glenn Kirk on St. Patrick’s Day of 1979 in Eugene.

Survivors include her husband, Glen, Eugene; her mother, Kathryn, The Dalles; 
a daughter, Melinda, and three sons, William (B.J.), Samuel (Tony) and 
Gregory, all of Eugene; a brother, John Olmstead, The Dalles; four sisters, 
Melanie Junker, Haines, Alaska; Marcia Dierks, Seattle; Jill Townsend, Oregon 
City; and Kim Olmstead, Troutdale; and nieces and nephews, Heidi Fidler and 
Gretchen Watts, Juneau, Alaska; Chris Huffman, Hermiston; Tina and Kevin 
Townsend, Portland; and Ari, Megan and Joey Junker, Haines.

A memorial gathering will be held at River Road Park, Shelter No. 2, 1400 Lake 
Drive, Eugene, starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.  No formal service will be 
held.

West Lawn Memorial Park Evergreen Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of 
disposition.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home at 225 S. 
Danebo, Eugene, OR., 97402.
