Wakley iwakley@msn.com December 31, 2006, 3:10 pm The Dalles Chronicle, September 26, 2006 Violet Kirchner, 80, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local care facility on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006. She was born in Portland, Ore. on March 4, 1926, the youngest of four children to Jacob and Marie (Kaiser) Schuchart. She was raised in Portland, Oregon where she attended school. She married Stanley Donald Kirchner and they resided in Lincoln City until they moved to The Dalles in 1979. She volunteered for Veteran's Foreign War and enjoyed bowling and knitting. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Hise and her husband Wally of Vancouver, Wash.; her son, Scott Kirchner and his wife Jeanette of Salem; two grandsons, Brenden and Benjamin Kirchner both of Salem. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her three siblings. A graveside service was held on Monday, Sept. 25, 2006 at Willamette National Cemetery with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
