Kimball, 63, died in a Portland hospital March 3. He was born June 27, 1924, in Firth, Idaho and graduated from high school there in 1942, later serving in the armed forces in the Philippines and Japan during WWII. He married Joan Williams in Las Vegas in 1950 and worked as an ironworker, putting in time at The Dalles and John Day dam projects. Before his retirement in 1984, he was a member of the Ironworkers Local 29 in Portland for 31 years. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Cambridge, Idaho, and a former Moose Lodge member. He is survived by his wife, Joan, of The Dalles; two sons, Michael Mace of Duvall, Wash., and Lorenzo Kelly Kimball of Vancouver; three daughters, Peggy Hammel of Moscow, Idaho, Shannon Lindell of The Dalles and Kim Dittmar of Yakima; six grandchildren; a brother; two sisters. He was buried in Parklawn Cemetery. Spencer, Libby and Powell was in charge of arrangements.
