The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 4, 1983
     Mary T. Kennell, 82, a resident of The Dalles for the past five years and 
a former longtime resident of Kennewick, Wash., died Friday at a local nursing 
home after a long illness.
     Mrs. Kennell was born Oct. 13, 1900 in Stanford, Ky.
     She and her husband, John, who died in 1961, operated Kennell's Flower 
Shop in Kennewick for many years.  She was a member of the Pasco Christian 
Science Church and was formerly involved in the FTD leadership, Altrusa, and 
the Business & Professional Women's Club of Kennewick.
     Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Connolly, The Dalles; two 
granddaughters, Maureen Woodward, Yakima, Wash., and Marifran Howard, 
Louisville, Ky., and a grandson, Steve Connolly, Seattle, Wash.
     Private family services were planned.  Burial was at Desert Lawn Memorial 
Park, Kennewick.  Smith Callaway Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
