Wakley iwakley@msn.com December 10, 2006, 11:29 am The Dalles Weekly Reminder, June 28, 1984 Grover Emil Keller, 91, died here Saturday. He was a lifelong resident of The Dalles. He was born Nov. 18, 1892 in The Dalles to Albert and Louise Keller. There were five boys and two girls in the family. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Chuch, had been a member of The Dalles Elks Lodge for 49 years and the Stockton, Calif. IOOF Lodge for 60 years. He was a member of the Professional Engineers of Oregon and worked as a draftsman from May of 1913 to May of 1915 during construction of the Celilo Canal. In 1925, he married Marian Trent in The Dalles. She died in 1978. Survivors include a brother, Henry, Seaview, Wash.; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Tuesday at The Dalles Memorial Mausoleum, with the Rev. Ric Simpson officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Landmark. Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
