He was born April 27, 1953, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Dillard Weslie and Darlene Lucille (Martin) Keever. He grew up in Missouri until moving to Hood River (Oregon) in 1965, and attended Hood River schools. After his schooling, he returned to Missouri, where he met and later married Janet Lynn Brown on April 22, 1977, in Hampton, Missouri. They lived in Missouri before returning to Hood River in 1982 and settling in The Dalles in 1985. He worked as an auto mechanic in The Dalles area and was presently restoring a 1966 Chevy Impala. He was a member of Columbia Gorge Power Sledders Snowmobile Club and enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, motorcycles and being with his family. He is survived by his wife, Janet, son, Mark and daughter, Jamie, brother, Randy Keever and sister, Diane Newson, all of The Dalles; sisters, Vickie Lopez, Hollister, California; Sharon Groce, Phoenix, Arizona; and Carolyn Luper, Kearney, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held at Sorosis Park at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 1. Private cremation will be held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
