The Dalles Chronicle, July 13,   2006
     David Hans Junker, 55, of The Dalles, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, in a 
Portland area hospital.

     David was born on December 4, 1950, the third of nine children to Hans 
Jules and Anna Mary (Morrison) Junker in The Dalles. 

     After high school he worked in the orchards until enlisting in the 
Marines, where he made rank of private as a postal clerk. After his service, 
he moved back to The Dalles, then moved from place to place to work and see 
the country. He enjoyed reading and fishing.

     He is survived by his brothers, Willy, John and James; his sisters, 
Jeanie, Margaret, Shirley, Suzie and Sharon. He was preceded in death by his 
parents.

     Viewing visitation will be held on July 14, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. 
Private cremation will be held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with Spencer, 
Libby, and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

     Memorials may be sent to the National Kidney Association, PO Box 15149, 
Portland, OR 97293.
