The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 23, 1984
Ressie Maude Jones, 89, a resident of The Dalles since 1920, died at a local 
nursing home Aug. 19.

She was born Sep. 29, 1894 at Pleasant Hope, Mo.

She had a sewing shop and worked as seamstress for many years in The Dalles.  
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Pythian Sisters.

Survivors include a son, Dale, The Dalles; a daughter, Frances Wilburn, The 
Dalles; five grandchildren,; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-
grandson.  Another son, Wayne Jones, died in 1969.

Graveside funeral services were Wednesday at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.  
Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Senior Citizens Center.
