The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 13, 1983
     Delfa P. Jones, 72, a resident of The Dalles for the last nine years, 
died Monday at Mid-Columbia Medical Center.
     She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
     Survivors include her husband, Lewis E. Jones, The Dalles; three sons, 
Melvin Lewis Jones, Warden, Wash.; Clark Eugene Jones, Coos Bay, and Neil 
Calvin Jones, The Dalles; two daughters, Ellen Etta Kohler, LaGrande, and 
Cheryl Joy Clausen, Beaver Creek; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, 
two brothers, Newell D. Barzee, Gooding, Idaho, and Hugh Barzee, Bonners 
Ferry, Idaho; three sisters, Afton Hokenson, Toquerville, Utah; Nellie Sexton, 
Yocolt, Wash., and Opal Neilsen.
     Funeral services are Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day 
Saints, 1 p.m. with committal services following at the Odd Fellows Parklawn 
Cemetery.
     Serving as casketbearers will be Dan and Gordon Kohler, Paul Jones, Terry 
Splattstoesser, Don Kohler and James Clausen.  Smith Callaway Chapel is in 
charge of arrangements.
