     Randie Elizabeth Jaeger, a former resident of The Dalles, died at a 
Bakersfield, Calif., hospital on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004.
     She was born March 21, 1914, in Michigan to Albert and Guri (Sather) 
Johnson. As a young girl, she moved to Chicago, where she met her future 
husband.
     She married Fred Jaeger on Jan. 24, 1931, in Chicago. They moved to The 
Dalles in 1949 and after the death of her husband, she moved to Bakersfield to 
be near her daughter’s family. 
     She was a member of the Lutheran Church, The Dalles Senior Center and 
enjoyed her family and animals.
     She is survived by her daughter, Dolores and her husband, Alden Richmond, 
Bakersfield; her daughter-in-law, Shirley, Eugene; six grandchildren, Steven, 
Randi, Chris, Fred, Michael, Robin; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Fred Jaeger, in March 1995, her son, Fred, 
her daughter, Jacquelyn Anderson, her sister, “Jackie” Kramer and her 
brothers, Ferris and Walter Johnson.
     Graveside services will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery on Cherry Heights 
Road on Saturday, Aug. 7, at 11:30 a.m. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
are in care of arrangements.
     Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
