Wakley iwakley@msn.com and July 23, 2006, 2:01 pm The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 25, 1987 Carl Lewis (Lewy) Ingram, 43, died at his home on Eightmile Road Sep. 19 after a sudden illness. He was a resident of The Dalles for the past 19 years. Mr. Ingram was born Feb. 6, 1944 in Corvallis. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He moved to The Dalles in 1968 and worked for Co-op Oil and Supply. In 1972, he started at the aluminum plant in Goldendale. In April of this year he began going to school in Portland. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, of The Dalles, who he married in 1967; two daughters, Kimberly and Heather of The Dalles; his parents, Bill and Elaine Leigh of Baker; two brothers; two sisters. Graveside funeral services were at Parklawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Oregon Heart Fund or the Dufur Ambulance. Spencer Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
