The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 13, 1983
     Eugenie M. Hutchins, 82, a resident of The Dalles since January and a 
former resident of Portland, Gresham and California, died Oct. 3 at a The 
Dalles nursing home.
     She was born May 16, 1901 in Ponca City, Okla.
     She was a retired piano teacher.
     Survivors include a niece, Paulita Dutro, Oceanside, Calif., and a sister-
in-law, Nadine Meyers, The Dalles.  A brother, Eugene Meyers, died in 1980.
     Memorial services were Sunday at First United Methodist Church in The 
Dalles.
     Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of funeral 
arrangements.  Committal was in Redlands, Calif.
