The Dalles Chronicle,  July 15, 2004
     Frank Barton House, 79, a former resident of Moro, and a resident of 
Salem since 1993, died in that city on July 10, 2004.
     He was born May 16, 1925 in Irrigon. His family moved to Seattle for a 
short time and they then moved to Southern Oregon. He attended school in Days 
Creek and then the family moved to Ashland where he attended high school until 
he joined the service.
     He was medically discharged shortly after joining.
     He married Lucille Wiedenman and they were later divorced. He married 
Shirley Ricks in 1963 and they lived in Moro for 34 years.
     He worked as a truck driver for heavy construction. He was then disabled 
and retired and moved to Salem.
     He enjoyed camping, model airplanes, model trains and target practice.
     A memorial service was held earlier today.
     Memorials may be made to the Sherman County Historical Society Museum, PO 
Box 173, Moro, OR 97039.
