The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 11, 1987
Wilma Katherine Hoover, 66, died Sept. at the hospital.  She was a lifelong 
resident of The Dalles.

Mrs. Hoover worked as a cook’s assistant at the hospital for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan Bell of Beaverton; a granddaughter, Lisa 
Dawn Bell of Beaverton; four brothers, J. R. Bud Stanek, Chuck Stanek and John 
Stanek, all of The Dalles, Robert Stanek of Glendale, Wash.; two sisters, 
Eileen Burke of Portland and Juanita Halling of Rio Nido, Calif.

Graveside services were held at The Dalles Odd Fellows Cemetery officiated by 
the Rev. Karl Vercouteren.  Pallbearers included Rodney Bell, Ed Carder, 
Chuck, John, Robert  and Bud Stanek.  Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
was in charge of arrangements.
