Wakley iwakley@msn.com and July 10, 2006, 12:20 am The Dalles Weekly Reminder, June 2, 1983 Eugene Emil Hoerth, 65, of Aumsville, died Saturday at the Blue Lake Campground near Sisters. He was born Feb. 26, 1918 in Artas, S. D. Mr. Hoerth was a member of the Reformed Church of the United States American Legion and was a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hoerth, Aumsville, four sons, Bruce, Oklahoma City; Douglas, Yokahama, Japan; Shawn, Portland, and Glen, Aberdeen, S. D.; three daughters, Margaret Dowding, Moscow, Idaho; Jean Webster, Silverton, and Natalie Wisdahl, Gibralter, Mich.; 20 grandchildren, one great- grandchild, a brother, Ruben, Herreid, S. D.; two sisters, Lela Schmidt, Herreid and Edna Cellini, St. Helens, Calif. Services were yesterday (Wednesday) in the Mosier Christian Church with the Rev. Norman Hoeflinger officiating. Burial was in the Mosier Cemetery under the direction of Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home.
