The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 21, 1987
Willard Z. Hinshaw, 65, died Aug. 12 at home.  He was a resident of The Dalles 
since 1957.

Mr. Hinshaw was born March 11, 1922, Sheridan, Ore.  He served in the Army 
during World War II, later working in the timber industry.  He worked for 
Stadelman fruit until 1979, when he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta, of The Dalles, whom he married in 1946; 
four sons, David of Whidbey Island, Wash, Wayne and William of Portland,, 
Robert of The Dalles; three daughters, Sandra Engblom, Nancie Rivera and Dee 
Ann Hinshaw, all of The Dalles; two brothers, Lester and Joseph, both of The 
Dalles; two sisters, Wilma Quinn of Everett, Wash., and Marie Anderson of 
Willamina.

Graveside services were held at the veterans section of Parklawn Cemetery, 
officiated by Rev. Thornton Gapen.  Memorials are suggested to the Senior 
Center Fund.  Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
