The Dalles Weekly Reminder,  March 20, 1987
     Harry Alexander Hicks, 72, died March 15 in Wasco.  He had lived in Wasco 
since 1960, formerly living in Elgin, Ore.
     Mr. Hicks was born March 11, 1915, in Mansfield, Wash.   He was a member 
of Wasco Church of Christ.
     He is survived by his wife, Jessie Hicks or Wasco; four daughters, Elma 
Jean Wilhelm of Elgin, Nancy McKay of Kent, Christine McCollister of Camas, 
and Linda Burnett of Wasco; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three 
brothers, Jim Hicks of Joseph, Ore., Bennie Hicks of LaGrande, and Charles 
Hicks of Biggs, Calif.; three sisters, Mamie Kellogg of Montesanto, Wash., 
Neva Meyers and Mollie Henningsen, both of Spokane.
     Graveside services were held at the Elgin Cemetery.  Memorial services 
will be held Sunday, March 22, at 3 p.m. at the Wasco Church of Christ with 
the Rev. Jim Brown officiating.  Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in 
charge of arrangements.
