The Dalles Weekly Reminder, November 10, 1983
     Fred Lee Hickman, 72, a resident of the Lyle area since 1962, died 
Tuesday at a White Salmon hospital.
     He was born May 30, 1911 in Hawkins County, Tenn.
     Survivors include his wife, May, whom he married in Carson City, Nev. on 
March 4, 1961; a step-daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Hazel) Stevens, Klickitat, Wash.; 
two grandchildren, Mrs. Warren (Vickie) Ladiges, Kirkland, Wash., and Gerald 
Stevens, Cottage Grove; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, retired Rev. 
Joe Hickman, Kingsport, Tenn.
     Graveside services are at Parklawn Cemetery in The Dalles Saturday at 11 
a.m. with the Rev. Lester Haarstad officiating.
     Memorials are suggested to charity.  Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home 
is in charge of arrangements.
