The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 29, 1982
     Elsie M. Hess, 85, a resident of The Dalles since 1974, died Jan. 20 at 
the local hospital.
     She was born in Faichild, Wisc. on March 9, 1896.
     She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
     Survivors include two sisters, Beatrice Patterson, Oroville, Wash., and 
Oro Cox, Dallesport, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were Jan. 22 at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Martin Quigley officiating.
     Burial was at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
