The Dalles Chronicle, March 16, 2004
     Rod J. Henry, 74, a former resident of The Dalles, died in Salem on March 
13, 2004.
     He was born June 27, 1929 in Lakeside, Ariz. He lived in The Dalles as a 
youth and graduated from The Dalles High School in 1948.
     He served in the Korean War with the U.S. Navy as a corpsman. He 
graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oregon with a degree in 
business administration in 1956.
     He retired as manager of the right of way section of the Oregon 
Department of Transportation in 1992.
     He is survived by his wife, Janet, Salem; daughter, Catherine Henry, 
Denver; son, Roderick Henry, and grandson, Joseph Henry, both of Oregon City; 
sister, Rebecca Henry, Newport; nieces and nephews and great nieces and 
nephews.
     A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 17, at 11 a.m. at the 
Eureka Cemetery in Newport.
     Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are 
by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem.
