The Dalles Chronicle,  July 13, 2004
     Wilbur John Hendricks, 80, a former Dufur resident, died at home in 
Camas, Wash., of pulmonary fibrosis July 5, 2004.
     He was born Nov. 21, 1923 in Dufur to Leland Hendricks and Anna Bell 
(Brookhouse) Hendricks. 
     He graduated from Dufur High School and married Dorothy Schanz. He was a 
wheat and cattle rancher until his retirement in 1982, when he moved to 
Sunriver. He moved to Camas in 2002. 
     He is survived by his wife; two sons, John and Jim Hendricks; two 
daughters, Ladorna Snyder and Julie Pattison; and seven grandchildren. 
     He was preceded in death by his mother in 1960, his father in 1979 and a 
sister, Donna Lee Slusher in 2002. 
     A memorial service was held in Vancouver, Wash., today after press 
deadlines. A second memorial will be held at the Dufur Christian Church on 
Saturday, July 24, at 2 p.m.
     Ross Hollywood Chapel is in charge of arrangments.
