The Dalles Chronicle, September 9, 2004
     Leanne Rae Henderson, 47, a resident of Wamic, died at her home on 
Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004.
     She was born on Sept. 26, 1956, the second of four daughters to Lyle and 
Ruth (Bates) Henderson. She was raised in Lompoc, Calif.
     She lived in California, Alaska, Washington and Oregon. She was a poet 
and a skilled horsewoman. 
     She is survived by her special friend and companion of 17 years, Bruce 
Felker, Wamic; one son, William Lyle Saunders, Lompoc; and three sisters, 
Lynette Lowe, Anchorage, Alaska; Michelle Costa, Fernley, Nev., and Kelly 
Henderson, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with Smith 
Callaway Chapel in care of arrangements. 
     Memorials may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous.
