     Lilly May Hearn, 81, died Jan. 24, 2005, at her home in Dallesport. 
She was born to Elba T. (Hammond) and Jesse T. Bird in Hodge, Mo., on May 2, 
1923. 
     She grew up in Missouri, graduating from Dover High School in 1941, and 
moving to White Salmon in 1947. She met Arland Hearn and the two married in 
Redding, Calif., on July 2, 1950. 
     She lived in the Mid-Columbia area for many, many years, the last 14 in 
Dallesport.
     She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God as well as the Bingen 
Assembly, where her husband served as preacher. She loved to sew and work 
crossword puzzles. Lilly also liked canning, cooking and baking, and taking 
care of her family.
     Survivors include her sons, Tim Hearn, Bingen; Chip Hearn, The Dalles; 
daughter Kathy Abrams and her son Jody Hearn, both of Dallesport. She also 
leaves behind eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 
Her husband preceded her in death.
     A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m., at the Life 
in Christ Center in The Dalles. In lieu of flowers, her family requests 
memorial contributions to Hospice of the Gorge.
     Gardner Funeral Home’s Columbia River Crematory in White Salmon handled 
arrangements.
