The Dalles Chronicle, April 25, 2006
     Dorothy D. Hawksley, 87, a resident of The Dalles, died on Saturday, 
April 22, 2006 at a local care facility.
     She was born in Granite, Okla., on Nov. 25, 1918 the third of four 
children. She grew up and graduated from high school in Forest Grove. 
     She married William Jack Hawksley in Portland, on Aug. 11, 1944. She was 
a member of the Episcopal Church and loved gardening and cooking.
     She is survived by her son, Kim Hawksley, The Dalles. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, William Jack Hawskley and three brothers, Dave, Jim and 
Church Davis.
     Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with 
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
