Haupt, 81, of LeSueur, Minnesota, were held September 21, 2002 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur. The Reverends Ken O'Hotto and family friend Fr. John Laurance, S.J., celebrated the mass of Christian burial. She died on September 18, 2002. She was born August 28, 1921 to Wenceslaus "Jim" and Sophie (Rynda) Dvorak in Montgomery, Minnesota. She attended Holy Redeemer Grade School and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1939. She attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis and worked in the business office of what is now the Green Giant Co. She married John Haupt on August 3, 1946 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. They raised their six children in Winsted, Blue Earth and LeSueur. While in LeSueur she worked for an attorney and when the family moved to Ripon, Wisconsin in 1968 she worked for a law firm until her retirement at age 73. She was active in St. Anne's CCW and while in Ripon served as first lady while her husband was mayor from 1988 to 1996. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John; six children and their spouses, Greg Haupt and Cara Beams, Minneapolis; Steve Haupt, St. Paul, Minnesota; Mary H. and Doug Rabe, Frisco, Colorado; Patricia Haupt and Jim Wygle, LIttleton, Colorado; Margaret Haupt and Tom Herrera, Mosier (Oregon); Richard Haupt and Arlene Palmer, Montgomery; and AFS daughter, E. Jill and Tim L'Estrange, Sidney, Australia; five grandchildren, Elise, Beth, Anthony, Nora and Jonathan; brothers and sister in law, Earl Dvorak, Montgomery; Don and Mercedes Dvorak, Urbandale, Iowa; Doris Dvorak, Inglewood, California; Lorraine Dvorak, Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters-in-law. Memorials can be made to Hospice of LeSueur, Inc. or to St. Anne's School Endowment Fund.
