      Robert “Bob” Lee Harris, 55, The Dalles, died at his home on Monday, 
Aug. 28.

     He was born in San Diego, Calif., Jan. 23, 1951 the first of three 
children to Jack M. and Barbara Helen (Luccock) Harris. He grew up in El 
Cajon, Calif., where he attended school. 

     He was a forest firefighter and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of 
Latter-Day Saints. He was an outdoor man and enjoyed hiking, fishing, mountain 
biking and rock collecting. He was also a pot-bellied-stove comedian and a big 
brother figure.

     He is survived by his daughter, Tajma Marie Harris and her son Dallin of 
Portland; his two sons, Eric Harris of San Diego, and Dominic Harris and his 
son Elijah Harris of Montana; his two sisters, Jacqulyn Larson of Orem, Utah 
and Summer Harris of Nampa, Idaho, and one brother, Billy Ray Newton of The 
Dalles.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Private cremation was 
held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral 
Home in care of arrangements.
