The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 20, 1984
     David Robert Harris, 84, died in a Baker, Ore. nursing home, Dec. 11.  He 
resided in Baker the past 10 years and formerly in The Dalles.
     He was born Jan. 22, 1900 in Smithville, Mo.
     Survivors include his wife, Gladys, Baker; three sons, Dewey and Dale, 
both of The Dalles, and Donald of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Betti Hager, 
Weiser, Idaho and Irene Malcolm, The Dalles; two sisters, Jewel Strong, North 
Platte, Neb., and Ruth Sprague, Seattle; seven step-children, including 
Juanita Morin, The Dalles, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 
nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were Friday at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home.  
Private burial followed at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
