Wakley iwakley@msn.com and July 20, 2006, 12:47 pm The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 20, 1984 Glennie May Harper, 78, died at her home in Wasco, Dec. 14, where she resided since 1935. Mrs. Harper was born Sept. 24, 1906 at Climbing Hill, Iowa. She was a member of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Daughters of the Nile, the American Legion Auxiliary, Sherman County Historical Society, and the Moro- Wasco-Sherman County Extension Unit, and the Wasco Women's Study Club. She is survived by two sons, Stanley Anderson of Portland, Leland Anderson of Salem; four grandchildren, Pamela Anderson of New York City, Debra Arnold of Santa Monica, Calif.; Scott Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Linda Meadows of Clarkston, Wash.; one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Meadows and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (today), Dec. 20, at the Wasco United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ernie Smith will officiate. The Annie Fulton Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star will conduct ritualistic services. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Yocan, Fritz Watkins, George Mcnab, Tom Jacobsen. Pallbearers will be Don (Butch) Martin, Orville Blaylock, Dick Skiles, Shawn Skiles, Paulen Kaseberg, and Vernon Root. Private vault burial will follow at the Wasco Sunrise Cemetery. Smith Callaway Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
