The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 23, 1987
A resident of The Dalles for 50 years, Elma Fern Harmon, died in her home Jan. 
15 at age 71.

Mrs. Harmon was born in Diamond Platte, Wyo., July 24, 1915.  She was  member 
of The Dalles Eagles Lodge and for many years was curator of The Fort Dalles 
Museum.

She is survived by her husband, Ray, of The Dalles; four sons, LaRay and Lynn 
of Portland, and Terray and Wayne of The Dalles; three daughters, Gretta Rich 
of Nampa, Ida., Rosena Aultz of Meridian, Ida., and Verna Harshberger of Salt 
Lake City, Utah; her mother, Ruby Tucker of Nampa, Ida.; 26 grandchildren and 
five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home with 
Bishop Steven Thompson officiating, followed by interment at Parklawn 
Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to The Dalles Museum Commission.
