Wakley iwakley@msn.com April 21, 2006, 1:13 pm The Dalles Chronicle, March 15, 2006 Donald Lee Hamilton, 63, a resident of Maupin, died at a local hospital on Sunday, March 5, 2006. He was born in Salinas, Calif., Feb. 17, 1943 the youngest of three children to Ernest Maxwell Hamilton and Geraldine Mildred (Curtis) Hamilton. He married Jackie Brown and they resided in Maupin. He was foreman for Burlington Northern Railroad and a member of the Kingdom Hall, Jehovah’s Witness and a past member of The Elks Club. He is survived by his child, Michael Hamilton and his Fiance Nicole Vanassche, Nicholas Vanassche, Stevie Vanassche, Joy Vanassche and Colton Vanassche all of Wenatchee, Wash.; his nieces, Dorothy, Sarah and Bonnie and her husband Jeff; his friends, Chuck and Sharon Smith and Cindy Brittain and his mother-in-law, Janice Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie; his parents and two brothers. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Funeral service will be held at Tygh Valley Kingdom Hall on March 25, 2006 at 11 a.m. Additional service will be held at 3 p.m. at Craig Snodgrass Ranch in Bakeoven.
