The Dalles Weekly Reminder, July 10, 1987
Bobby Jean Hamer, 72, died in The Dalles July 5.  She was a resident of The 
Dalles since 1985, formerly of Natchitches, Lou.

Mrs. Hamer was born Sept. 3, 1915 in Roff, Okla.  She was a member of St. 
Peter Catholic Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and the local 
cancer support group.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1968.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne E. Parkins of The Dalles; a 
granddaughter, Johanna Perkins of The Dalles; a sister, Joanne Shelton of 
Muskogee, Okla.

Recitation of Rosary and Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Peter 
Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Martin Quigley.  Interment was at St. Peter 
Catholic Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the local Cancer Support 
Group.  Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
