She was born Dec. 11, 1911 in Frametown, WV, the oldest daughter of 17 children to Henry E. and Ida Jane (Keener) Dickey. She married Clyde Milfred Guesman in Rices Landing, Penn. on August 30, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1963. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, ceramics, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters and their families; Brenda and her husband Elmer E. Marx, VMD, of Juneau, Alaska, and Linda G. and her husband Bob Hoffman, of The Dalles. Also surviving is her sister Jessie Belknap of Brooksville, Florida, and nine grandchildren: Karl E. Marx of Boone, NC, Harry C. Marx of Ariel, Wash., Klaus E. Marx of Lake Chelan, Wash., Gretchen M. Marx of Waynesburg, Penn., Elmer E. Marx, Luther A. (Gus) Marx, and Hans P. Marx of Juneau, Brenda G. Halbert of Olympia, Wash. and Jennifer L. Barnes of Des Moines, Iowa, 19 great-grandchildren and 185 nieces and nephews. The family will observe private ceremonies of remembrance. Arrangements are by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
