Wakley iwakley@msn.com and July 20, 2006, 1:07 pm The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 20, 1984 Murray O. Groff, 68, died Dec. 13 in The Dalles where he was a long-time resident. Mr. Groff was born Dec. 28, 1915 in Lone Rock. He was an iron worker and a member of The Dalles Eagle Aerie 2126, the American Legion, the Moose Lodge, and the local 29 Ironworkers Union in Portland. He was a veteran of WWII. His wife Mary, died in 1981. He is survived by two stepsons, Robert Faust of Vancouver, Wash., William Faust of Washington, D. C.; his mother, Debra Groff of Boring; and a sister, Zela Nehlhoss; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Wednesday, at the Odd Fellows Memorial Mausoleum. The Rev. Jerry Tanquist officiated. Smith Callaway Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
