    Sally Jean (Gibson) Groce, 56, a former resident of The Dalles, died 
October 19, 2002 in Nacogdoches, Texas.

    She was born November 29, 1946 in The Dalles to Douglas Richard and Edwina
(Breshears) Gibson.

    She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in The Dalles.

    She married Bob Groce in Lewisville, Texas on February 2, 1969.

    She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a bowling
league in Nacogdoches. She was a homemaker.

    Survivors include her husband, Bob, Garrison, Texas; a son, Matt Groce, and 
his wife, Emily, Timpson, Texas; a daughter, Jackie McCleary, and her husband,
Scott, Corsicana, Texas; her mother, Bunny Richelderfer, The Dalles; four 
brothers, Charles Gibson, in California; Paul Gibson, in Oregon; Mike Gibson, in
California, and Martin Richelderfer, The Dalles; two sisters, Georgia Benson and 
Mary Zacharisen, both of The Dalles; and four grandchildren, Grayson, Gretchen
and Morgan McCleary, all of Corsicana, and Hayden Groce, Timpson.
    She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Brian Richelderfer and a
grandson, Kaleb Groce.
    Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 24, at 2 p.m. at Garrison 
Funeral Home Chapel in Garrison and burial will be at Cold Springs Cemetery in
Nacogdoches County, Texas. Brother Clifton Huges of the Mt. Olive Baptist 
Church in Shelby County, Texas, will preside.
