The Dalles Chronicle, January 5, 2006
     Eileen Greenwalt, 74, a resident of Portland, died at her home on 
Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005.
     She was born Nov. 26, 1931 in Elgin, Ill., the youngest of three to Ralph 
and Jesse Birch. 
     She married David Greenwalt in 1952. She lived in The Dalles for 42 years 
and Portland for seven years. She was a nursing home caregiver, liked to watch 
TV shows and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
     She is survived by her daughter, Julie and her husband Chuck Brewster, 
Portland; her grandsons, Larry Greenwalt, Jr., and Travis Brewster; her 
granddaughter, Susann Brewster; her sister, Jesse Birch and four great 
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Birch.
     Viewing visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, until 5 p.m. at 
Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home. Gathering of friends and family will be 
held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. at IOOF Cemetery, Three Mile Road, 
The Dalles.
