The Dalles Chronicle, February 2, 2006
     Myrcella Rose Grant, 77, a resident of The Dalles, died at her home on 
Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006.
     She was born in Grandview, Wash., on Nov. 14, 1929, the youngest daughter 
of three children to Ky LeRoy and Jeannie Marie (Page) Davis. She grew up and 
attended school in Grandview.
     She lived in The Dalles for 46 years. She was a member of Dallesport 
Church of Christ and enjoyed painting, gardening and raising birds.
     She is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Grant of The Dalles, whom 
she married on June 30, 2002, in Olympia, Wash.; her daughters, Karla and her 
husband, Rudy Contreras, Rochester, Wash.; Teresa and her husband, Chris 
Lanegan, Colton; and Linda Benton, Portland; her sons, Chris and his wife, 
Kaye Baumgartner, Quincy, Wash.; and Randy and his wife, Debbie Johnson, The 
Dalles; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her stepchildren, Connie 
and her husband, Jim Melvin, Las Vegas, Nev.; Randy Grant and his wife Julia, 
Long Beach, Wash.; Penny Morgan, Salem; JoAnne and her husband, Walter Call, 
Salem; and her sisters, Myrcena Worster, Laramie, Wyo.; and Doreen Wilton, The 
Dalles.
     Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at The Dalles IOOF 
18th Street Memorial Mausoleum.
     Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle St., The 
Dalles, OR 97058.
