The Dalles Weekly Reminder, November 22, 1984
     Loyd Kenneth Gore, 80, died at a local nursing home Nov. 17.  He was a 
resident of Wamic for the past three years and formerly a resident of Cottage 
Grove.

     He was born at David City, Iowa on Feb. 1, 1904.

     Mr. Gore had worked as a carpenter until his retirement.

     He is survived by his wife, Ida May, Wamic, whom he married in 1925 in 
Hiawatha, Kan.; two sons, Loyd Dwayne Gore, Wamic; and Robert L. Gore, 
Fillmore, Calif.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two 
sisters, Gladys Meile, Omaha, Neb., and Ruby Wittington, Kansas City, Mo.

     Graveside funeral services Tuesday at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery with the 
Rev. Dan Elam officiating.

     Memorials may be made to the Alzehimer's Disease Foundation in care of 
Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home.
