The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 6, 1988
     Paul J. Goiburn, 88, died at the local hospital April 26.  He had lived 
in The Dalles since 1965.
     Mr. Goiburn was born March 2, 1900 in Motrico, Spain.  He came to the 
U.S. in 1919.  Before moving to The Dalles he worked at Crown Zellerbach and 
lived in Camas from 1945 until 1965.
     He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada, in 1972.
     He is survived by a son, Gordon Goiburn of Lake Oswego; a daughter, 
Sylvia Howe of Port Townsend, Wash.; seven grandchildren and three great 
grandchildren; other relatives in Spain.
     Graveside services were held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver.  
Smith Callaway was in charge of arrangements.
