The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 18, 1984
	Marguerite E. Glavey, 75, died Oct. 9, in Heppner.  She was a former 
resident of the area.

	She was born April 10, 1909 in Dufur to Thomas and Mary (Mannion) 
Glavey.

	She taught school in the Dufur area briefly, then moved to Morrow 
County and taught school in that county for 38 years.

	She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, St. Mary’s 
Academy Alumni in The Dalles, and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Alter 
Society in Heppner.

	Survivors include a brother, Jack, in Heppner; and a cousin, Roselyn 
Glavey, in The Dalles.

	Recitation of the Rosary was Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 
with the Rev. Brian J. McGovern officiating.  Funeral mass was Friday at the 
same church, the Rev. McGovern again officiating.  Graveside services were 
Friday at Kingsley Cemetery near Dufur, with Monsignor Raymond Bear 
officiating.

	Memorials may be made to the Pioneer Memorial Hospital Memorial Fund 
in Heppner.  Sweeney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
