The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 11, 1988
Arthur John Gerbing, 79, died at his home in The Dalles Saturday, Feb. 27.  He 
was a resident of The Dalles area for the past 44 years.

He was born Oct. 31, 1908, at Robertsville, Wash.  He worked as a timber 
grader prior to his retirement and was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges 
in The Dalles.  He was owner/operator of Freda's Angels, which provided 
transportation to the elderly and handicapped residents of the area.

He is survived by a daughter, Gloria Warren of The Dalles; a grandson, Joe 
Amore of The Dalles, three granddaughters, Kathy Maxwell of Portland, Angie 
Tubbs of Glenwood and Arta Moreno of The Dalles; seven grandchildren; a 
brother and a sister.

Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
officiated by Rev. Thornton Gapen and followed by burial at the IOOF Cemetery.
