Surnames: Gallaher, Gardner, Olson. Gary Clarence Gallaher, 54, a resident of The Dalles, died at his home. He was born May 14, 1949, in The Dalles, the older of two children to Keith Noel and Betty Lee (Gardner) Gallaher. He attended Colonel Wright Elementary School and graduated from The Dalles High School in 1968. In 1969, he entered the U.S. Navy and served four years, then later served an additional four years. He worked for the Neal and Bonny Harth Ranch, then he moved to Heppner (Oregon) and worked for a logging company. When his logging career subsided, he became a long haul truck driver. He returned to The Dalles in the late 1980's and worked at The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center for several years then he worked for Coyote Manufacturing, Inc. He was currently retired with a disability. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping. He is survived by his sister and her husband, Pam and Gary Olson, and their son, Kevin, The Dalles; aunts, uncles and cousins. Private family services will be held. Cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
