She was born in Buhler, Kansas on September 10, 1927, the daughter of John A. and Helen (Karber) Jensen. The family moved to Washington state when she was very young and she married John P. Jensen in Bellingham on March 5, 1948. They lived in Sherman County for many years. She moved to Bend five years ago to be near her daughter. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles and the Moose. For years she did Extension Service programs. She also belonged to the Rufus (Oregon) Grange and attended Rufus Nazarene Church for years and later the Wasco (Oregon) Church of Christ. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Spencer, Bend; two sons, Gregg Jensen, The Dalles, and Ron Jensen, Rufus; and six grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Her husband died in 1997. Graveside services will be October 23 at 1 p.m. in the Sunrise Cemetery in Wasco. Autumn Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
