Jensen, 85, a resident of Wamic [Oregon], died at a local care Center on Monday. She was born October 7, 1908 at Wamic, the only child of William E. and Lena (Driver)Woodcock. She grew up in Wamic and Tygh Valley [Oregon] and Graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in The Dalles in the late 1920s. She married William Hunt Jr., in 1930. He was killed in a tractor Accident during wheat harvest in 1938 at Wamic. She then married Carl Stitt in the early 1940s in Portland. They lived in a Boathouse in the Columbia River off Marine Drive while he worked as a U.P. [Union Pacific] railroad engineer. He died in the late 1950s. She then married Glenn Jensen on November 9, 1966 in Vancouver, [Washington]. They lived in Oceanside, Oregon until returning to Wamic. He died in 1985. She and her third husband were very active with the Barlow Gate Grange and in restoration of the Lone Pine Cemetery in Wamic. She was a member of Multnomah Chapter No. 10 Eastern Star and the Oriental Shrine (Doric Lodge) in Portland. Survivors include a step-son, Robert Jensen and his family in Burbank, California; numerous cousins including Lenora Walters and D.A. Harvey, both of Wamic; Geraldine Fullbright and Nedra Faught, The Dalles; Madine Gates, Lucille Nelson and Sule Literski, all of Portland; and Joe Woodcock, Washougal [Washington]. Viewing visitation will be Wednesday at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to noon. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at The Wamic Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Smith officiating.
