     Gale “Dani Jo” Laureen Funderburg, 39, died at her residence in Portland 
on July 29, 2006.
     She was born July 8, 1967 to Melvin W. and Laura B. (Hemminger) Lowman in 
Longview, Wash., one of four children. She was a 1985 graduate of Kelso High 
School.
     On Dec. 23, 1988 she married Gary Funderburg. They resided in Sheridan, 
Ark. for four years prior to relocating to Dufur in 1993. They had two sons.
     She began her employment with Burger King, and later served as chef for 
Ole’s Supper Club in The Dalles for 13 years. She worked for Skamania Lodge 
for a year in Stevenson, Wash. before joining Bon Appetite, the food service 
contractor for Intel.
     She loved crafts, picking up feathers, shells, rocks and beads to make 
jewelry and wreaths. She was learning calligraphy and enjoyed muscle cars, her 
1959 Impala and riding Harleys.
     She is survived by her mother, Laura B. Lowman, Kelso; three sons, Aubrey 
Logan Lee Funderburg, Scott Lee Funderburg and Michael Lee Funderburg; her 
former husband, Gary Funderburg; her companion, Gary Sneeden, Portland; 
brother, Anthony Lee Newton, Portland; and sisters Debbie Davidson (Wayne), 
Toledo, Wash.; Dore Edwards (David), Kelso; seven nieces and nephews.
     Visitation may be made at Dahl-McVicker’s Funeral Chapel in Kelso on 
Wednesday, Aug. 2, between 1 and 5 p.m. A chapel service will begin at 2 p.m. 
on August 3 at the Dahl-McVicker Chapel with burial following at Cowlitz View 
Memorial Gardens.
