The Dalles Weekly Reminder,  June 5, 1987
     Mattie D. Fulton, 95, died May 27 in The Dalles.  She had lived in the 
area for 78 years.
     Mrs. Fulton was born in Clynnog Carnakuon, North Wales on April 23, 
1892.  She was an alumni of The Dalles Hospital School of Nursing, and worked 
as Superintendent of Nursing at The Dalles General Hospital.  She was a member 
of the Dufur Methodist Church.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Mace Fulton, in 1962.
     She is survived by her uncle, Tommy Jones of The Dalles; a cousin, Carrie 
Seufert of Portland; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
     Services were held at Smith Callaway Chapel followed by private interment 
at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.  Rev. Steve Allgeier officiated.  The family has 
suggested memorial to the Dufur Methodist Church.
