Wakley iwakley@msn.com April 16, 2006, 10:20 pm The Dalles Chronicle, November 4, 2005 James “Bus” Everet Fuhrman, 93, a resident of Goldendale, died at his residence on Saturday, October 8, 2005. He was born in Goodnoe Hills, Wash., on Nov. 15, 1911, the second of eight children to James Daniel and Blanche Lura (Beeks) Fuhrman, where he grew up and went to school. He married Doris Catharine Jackson in September 1933. He was a logger, worked for Shell Oil, a postman delivering the rural mail, and a county foreman for the road crew for East Klickitat County. He enjoyed rodeos, riding horses, fishing and spending time with friends. He was a member of Methodist Church in Goldendale. He is survived by his two daughters, Mary Carol Douglas, Dufur, and Ann Utterback, Oceanshores, Wash.; two sisters, Marion Beach, Springfield, and Vera Powers, Burlington, Wash.; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, three brothers and two sisters. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral in care of arrangement. Family services will be held at a later date.
